Ingredient Notes

The main ingredients for this kefir overnight oats recipe are highlighted below. Milk and yogurt are listed as optional in the picture above. This is because milk and, or yogurt can be used in place of kefir. See the notes section in the recipe card below for details.
- Oats Use old fashioned oats, also known as rolled oats. Don't use quick or steel cut oats for this recipe.
- Kefir Adds a lovely amount of creaminess to overnight oats, and the vanilla flavor compliments peaches perfectly. If you don't love kefir but want the beneficial probiotics, use half milk and half kefir.
- Maple Syrup To add a touch more of natural sweetness to balance out the flavor of kefir.
- Chia Seeds Just enough to add creaminess, but not so much that the seeds take over.
- Peaches Use fresh, frozen, or roasted peaches If using fresh peaches, keep the skins on for the best texture and more fiber.
How to Kefir Overnight Oats with Peaches

- Cut peaches into small pieces. If using fresh peaches, leave the skins on.
- Add all ingredients to a jar with an airtight lid.
- Mix all ingredients together well. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (ideally overnight). *Level it up by adding a dash of cinnamon just before serving.
Dietitian Tip
With probiotics from kefir and fiber from oats, chia seeds, and peaches, this definitely qualifies as a gut-healthy recipe (in my opinion ;)). Just be sure to be drinking enough fluids, especially when you eat high fiber meals such as this.
