Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mango, frozen frozen chunks of mango
  • 1 cup Pineapple, frozen Frozen pineapple tidbits
  • 1 cup Milk I use skim milk
  • 1 cup Vanilla or plain Kefir Vanilla kefir will make a sweeter smoothie.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend.
  • Start blending at a low to medium-low speed to break up some of the frozen fruit. Then, gradually increase the blending speed to high.
  • Blend until a desired consistency is reached. I use my Vitamix and this smoothie blends in one minute at the most.

Notes

*Nutrition facts are an estimate and reference plain kefir in the calculations.
If you don't have kefir, you can use more milk or a combination of milk and yogurt in place of the kefir.
If you use plain kefir, taste the smoothie before serving it. You may want to add two teaspoons of honey to make it sweet enough for kids to enjoy.
To make this a green mango-pineapple smoothie, add a handful of baby spinach when adding the ingredients to the blender.
